Pick, MBA, CFP® Principal Pick Associates, LLC Tammy Pick, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, earned her BA (Bachelor of Arts) degree from Susquehanna University and her MBA (Master of Business Administration) degree from Bloomsburg University. She worked at nationally-known brokerage firms for more than a decade before yielding to her strong desire to gain the freedom to create financial plans based solely on the needs of each individual client. By establishing Pick Associates, LLC, she eliminated any obligation to promote or favor the financial instruments offered by any particular financial services corporation. This put her right where she wanted to be in order to best serve her clients -- almost. She still felt she needed to take one more step before she would be able to sleep well knowing that she was doing the very best she could for her clients. So, she registered Pick Associates, LLC, with the state of Pennsylvania as a Registered Investment Advisor firm. In essence, she gave up her “selling” licenses in exchange for an “advisory” license and happily said goodbye to dealing with her long-held feeling that there’s an inherent conflict of interest in having a broker’s license and doing financial planning. Knowing her clients are well cared for, Tammy now has the peace of mind to pursue yet another goal: to get out on the golf course at least twice a week!
